Our Story
We founded Crescendo Phoenixville in 2018 with the
belief that the arts are for everyone and to share the joy
of making music together. Each child that participates
receives:
-
a free violin
-
tuition-free year-round instruction
-
frequent performance opportunities.
Our program is free to participants, but consistent attendance is mandatory. In our first year, 18 students ranging from 2nd - 5th grade met after school 4 days a week to learn the violin together. Since 2019, 24 - 28 students have enrolled annually, with about 75% of our students opting to continue their musical studies with Crescendo Phoenixville for two or more consecutive years.
Since 2018, over 60 students have participated in Crescendo Phoenixville's programs. 17 students have completed our elementary school program, participating for 3 - 4 consecutive years.
Mission
Our mission is to provide high quality music to children who otherwise might not receive it.
